So last week John and I were on vacation, well I worked Monday....but John had a 'Honey-do' list to complete...didn't work out so well, as there were lots of other things going on....but we didn't do much as money is tight. So on Tuesday we went to the campground and it rained!!! and rained and rained, but that was okay, we got there mid afternoon and then went to dinner and to the movies to see UP, it was pretty good. But when we left the theater at the Port Charlotte Town Center Mall, John noticed helicopters flying around....and he started to comment, that is wierd, they shouldn't be flying around here...the airport is really far away, and then they started circling, and then he kept commenting, and then he started to walk faster...so at this point I was freaked out...we got in the car and saw 2 Sheriff's cars as we were leaving...okay something is going on. Well we got to a light and one of them was next to us, so I rolled down the window to ask if they were looking for someone, and he said, yes, but we just caught him....thank goodness, cause if you think I was going back to our camper to spend the night w/ god knows who on the loose, you had another thing coming....I would have been scared to death all night. On Wednesday we got up to drive to Tampa to go to Adventure Island Water Park. Well by the time we got there it was raining, in fact we had a couple horrible down pours on the road there, thank god John was driving, cause I would have been white knuckling it...so we sat down to eat lunch when we got there, and waited, we sat for about 45 minutes and decided the heck w/ it...out in the rain we went...the girls had so much fun...no sun, but still fun. We walked around and played for 3 hours, lazy river, kid play areas and a couple slides, well then it was about 4 pm and Kaylie had gotten plowed over and scraped her knee, and Amelia didn't have a nap, so it was time to depart. We came back to the campground town and found a wonderful pizza place to eat at, after we went to Cracker Barrel and left because they stopped making the skillets.......ughhh.... But the pizza place was great and right down the road from our campsite...
On Thursday it pretty much rained until late afternoon, when our friends arrived, we were so excited they could join us. Then the rest of the family came too....so we had a full house again. Patrick, Judy and Madison fit right in w/ the family...just became a part of it...and that's what we like to see. They had such a good time, that they reserved a spot for the big Halloween party they have in October already and are planning to come up and visit again before then. On Friday we all just hung out at the pool etc...and on Saturday morning we went and participated in the 4th of July parade at the campsite..... Sunday was come home day....lots of laundry and lots of stuff to do to prepare to go back to work.
Of course this was way too short and didn't really feel much like a vacation as we didn't really do much out of the ordinary...but we had fun, we relaxed and we had family time....so it was very nice.

Amelia fell in love w/ Molly, Pat, Judy and Maddy's dog, and he kept telling me I needed to get a little dog for Amelia and I kept replying, not unless it has batteries.

Look at that smile on those little red cheeks ;o)

Judy won the wet t-shirt contest....hehe

Boy, I wouldn't want to cross her....look at that evil smile....LOL

Now back to the grind and the pain...I have determined that my pain is caused or enhanced by either sitting in my chair at work or wearing pants w/ a waist, like jeans. I am scheduled for an Upper GI next week...and will go on from there,......
