Happy Forever Day Amelia Claire!!!

Today is our second forever family day!!!! So in celebration I stopped at the store and bought Amelia a bouquet of flowers and a strawberry shortcake (I will pay for that later, because I'm a bad mommy and wasn't thinking, Amelia is somewhat allergic to strawberries, but let's face it, w/ this kid, if I don't give her a reason to scratch, she'll find something else to scratch, right?!!) So thinking back, I don't remember our life w/ out her, as she has given us quite the challenges, she is our everything, along w/ her loving sister. She is a pip and get's yelled at for one thing or another every day, but I wouldn't change it for the world. On a happy note, it has been 2 days in a row that she has decided to actually poop on the potty again, instead of her pants...the first night I caught her in the act and we got her to the potty on time...last night, she chose to do it...so let's hope that is over!!!
I would like to wish all of our fellow travel mates a Happy Forever Day w/ their little munchkins and I hope they are all doing as well as we are, and loving life w/ their ladybugs!!!!

Odds n' Ends

So tonight for dinner I wasn't quite feeling really energetic, so I decided to make something easy...I looked down at the stove and realized I had 3 pots of water to boil on the stove........what do you think I made?? I had one meat (if you could call it that), one side and one vegetable. Good luck....let me know what you think in the comments.
Today I went for my Upper GI finally, and after 5 hours, yes 5 hours I was there, they found nothing. At least that's what the radiologist told me when I asked him....he said he was going to go review the shots again, but saw nothing while filming. So I think I am back to square one, but we'll see. The next step from what I can tell will be a gastroenterologist, but I have to wait for the surgeon to actually get the results and call me back. All I'm asking is for a freakin diagnosis already....geesh....
The other day Jamie went to get Amelia to put her to bed for her nap....and she said "Come on Toots, it's time for night night"....and Amelia exclaimed..........."I NOT TOOTS, I AMELIA CLAIRE CHAN MORGEN"...... excuse me!!!! She is so funny.
Not a lot going on for the summer.....last week I won tickets to SunSplash on the radio, Kaylie is so excited, I am just waiting for them to come in the mail and we will be taking the kids....Amelia just loves the slides too.

Our Vacation

So last week John and I were on vacation, well I worked Monday....but John had a 'Honey-do' list to complete...didn't work out so well, as there were lots of other things going on....but we didn't do much as money is tight. So on Tuesday we went to the campground and it rained!!! and rained and rained, but that was okay, we got there mid afternoon and then went to dinner and to the movies to see UP, it was pretty good. But when we left the theater at the Port Charlotte Town Center Mall, John noticed helicopters flying around....and he started to comment, that is wierd, they shouldn't be flying around here...the airport is really far away, and then they started circling, and then he kept commenting, and then he started to walk faster...so at this point I was freaked out...we got in the car and saw 2 Sheriff's cars as we were leaving...okay something is going on. Well we got to a light and one of them was next to us, so I rolled down the window to ask if they were looking for someone, and he said, yes, but we just caught him....thank goodness, cause if you think I was going back to our camper to spend the night w/ god knows who on the loose, you had another thing coming....I would have been scared to death all night. On Wednesday we got up to drive to Tampa to go to Adventure Island Water Park. Well by the time we got there it was raining, in fact we had a couple horrible down pours on the road there, thank god John was driving, cause I would have been white knuckling it...so we sat down to eat lunch when we got there, and waited, we sat for about 45 minutes and decided the heck w/ it...out in the rain we went...the girls had so much fun...no sun, but still fun. We walked around and played for 3 hours, lazy river, kid play areas and a couple slides, well then it was about 4 pm and Kaylie had gotten plowed over and scraped her knee, and Amelia didn't have a nap, so it was time to depart. We came back to the campground town and found a wonderful pizza place to eat at, after we went to Cracker Barrel and left because they stopped making the skillets.......ughhh.... But the pizza place was great and right down the road from our campsite...

On Thursday it pretty much rained until late afternoon, when our friends arrived, we were so excited they could join us. Then the rest of the family came too....so we had a full house again. Patrick, Judy and Madison fit right in w/ the family...just became a part of it...and that's what we like to see. They had such a good time, that they reserved a spot for the big Halloween party they have in October already and are planning to come up and visit again before then. On Friday we all just hung out at the pool etc...and on Saturday morning we went and participated in the 4th of July parade at the campsite..... Sunday was come home day....lots of laundry and lots of stuff to do to prepare to go back to work.

Of course this was way too short and didn't really feel much like a vacation as we didn't really do much out of the ordinary...but we had fun, we relaxed and we had family time....so it was very nice.

Amelia fell in love w/ Molly, Pat, Judy and Maddy's dog, and he kept telling me I needed to get a little dog for Amelia and I kept replying, not unless it has batteries.

Look at that smile on those little red cheeks ;o)

Judy won the wet t-shirt contest....hehe
Boy, I wouldn't want to cross her....look at that evil smile....LOL

Chloe waiting for someone to drop a hamburger or a hotdog

Water Balloon fights...they all had so much fun

The gang after the parade, Aaron, Kaylie (behind the balloon), Amy, Emilee, Jordan, Me, Amelia and Maddy

Aaron on the carving trike

Us in the parade...at the end, we had a mishap w/ the bike carrier, so we had to double up...

Maddy in the parade
Find a puddle, find Amelia...and Kaylie joined

Now back to the grind and the pain...I have determined that my pain is caused or enhanced by either sitting in my chair at work or wearing pants w/ a waist, like jeans. I am scheduled for an Upper GI next week...and will go on from there,......

The Big Girl Room At Last

So last week as we were on our way home from camping, John got a call on his cell phone Sunday afternoon telling us that Amelia's bed had arrived, so on Monday before we left for vacation he went and picked up her bed. I was against putting it together at first because she would only get to sleep in it for one day and then we were leaving for 6 days, but it worked out okay because she got a new comforter for her bed in the camper, so that was her other "new" ladybug bed, so she was okay w/ it. She slept fine in it her first night, of course I went to check on her once and she is so not used to sheets and a comforter, as she has been sleeping w/ just a blanket since she came home from China,...she pushes down the sheet and the comforter and uses just her blanket, we are working on this. Here it is...........

Bed 1-----John 0
Bed 2-----John 0
Mommy had to go in and tell Daddy how to put the brackets on to get the bed together properly....haha

The final product. I sure did forget how big a twin bed was compared to a crib

I now have to get the nerve to sand and paint her dresser to match her bed, someday......

Oh, funny story, I just have to share, it has nothing to do w/ Amelia's room. Today Kaylie and I went shopping when we got home from camping to get a few things and we got out of the car at Publix and there was a car next to us w/ an older man walking around the car and a lady sitting in her wheelchair behind the car w/ the trunk open and groceries sitting on the ground, I said, what happened, and he said this thing won't work, I can't get the doors unlocked.....I said, "Did you try the key in the door?"....he chuckled and said "no"...so he did. I told him he needed a new battery for his key fob....but I had to laugh....I know darn well he was alive and driving before we had key fobs..............DUH!!!!!

I will post photos and tell you about our mini-cation soon.
