Happy New Year!!!!

So I am totally convinced 2010 will be a better year, for all!!! Some people are arguing with me ragarding the economy not looking up, but I figure it has to go up from here, and that is only 1 of the issues on my things to get better list for 2010. It seems as though 2009 was not a really good year, but I will admit we all have our health, so far and sad to say things could get worse, even though at times I thought they never could.

So as convinced as I am that 2010 will be a better year, it sure didn't start out that way literally. We rang in the new year in the ER w/ Amelia....we were at a friends house hanging out and playing Wii, everyone was having a great time...Amelia was jumping around all excited when people were doing well, and all of a sudden she came out from behind my friend crying??!! No one saw anything, we didn't see her fall, she didn't get hit, nothing...just crying, so I was convinced it was her nursemaid's elbow, as she has had this problem 2X before...so I tried diligently to pop it back in, nothing....so we finally decided it was time to leave and go home for Auntie Amy to try...Amelia seemed to accept the problem and was playing quietly, just not using her arm....so when we got to Amy's house, she was asleep, so Amy tried to pop it back in...nope, wasn't happening!!! So to the ER we went, it was about 9:30 when we arrived, and finally we got called back....the tech came in and tried to pop her elbow back in too....nope...so he said he was obligated to take x-rays. So we waited some more....everytime the poor baby fell back asleep someone came back in the room...and finally around 11:30 or so he came back...she has a tiny crack in her elbow....she fractured her elbow???? You've got to be kidding me.....so we wait some more for someone to come in and put the splint on her arm.............HAPPY NEW YEAR, as we were still sitting in there when midnight came and went!!! We got home around 1:30 am or so and have to go see a pediatric orthopedic next week sometime. Good thing I don't start my new job until the following week!!!!

Yes, #1 on my list of things will get better....I got a new job. I start January 11th, and can't wait. I will be managing a Property Management office and I am so excited. I will be the Property Manager and doing it all!!!! I am just so thrilled, and hope this is the job of my dreams!!! Everything so far is pointing to this being the case, now I just need to start the job to be sure...LOL

Well, I hope you all had an uneventful ring in of 2010 and things get better for everyone!!! I am convinced w/ all the loved one's lost last year that we have a GREAT group of angels up above watching out for us!!!!

I am shocked however at how well Amelia has adapted to having no choice but to be left handed.
