There really hasn't been much going on lately, so I thought I'd post some updates.
Amelia: Well she is just as ornary as ever, but on Monday I felt like something was wrong, last time she had the 'RAGING' ear infection and pneumonia she never complained. Lately she had been acting a bit cranky and my nephews both have had strep, and she has been feeling a little warm, but my thermometer is apparently not working correctly, so I had Michele make an appointment, and turns out she didn't have strep, good thing, she has another ear infection, not a good thing, so she is currently on antibiotics.
Addition: I forgot to mention, a few weeks ago, I was rocking Amelia before bed and she was sucking on her binky, and I looked at her and said, you are a big girl you don't need your binky anymore....and she handed it to me. No binky every since, now I do realize this was way too easy and I will pay for this some other time later in life, or maybe she was making up for the sleepless nights I had last year, I don't know, but it was way way to easy!!! Sometimes she does amaze me........xoxoxoxo
My Dad: He is doing much better, they stopped giving him is intra-veinous antibiotics about a week ago and yesterday he went to get tested to see if his infection came back and turns out it didn't, so he even go to get his picc line removed, he was very happy about this. He still cannot drive, so I am still on coffee duty until then, but other than that he is actually feeling well.
The friend of the family that I reported had a cancerous lump, well she went through a masectomy, and when all was said and done she got the 'all clear', no chemo, no radiation, nothing...this is fantastic news.
The friend of the families sister that I reported had stage 4 pancreatic cancer and found out just before Christmas passed last week, please keep her family in your prayers, she was only 55 years old.
The other friend of the families sister w/ stage 4 lung cancer, has been going through chemo and just got a good report back from the Dr that her numbers are lower and she will continue w/ chemo and radiation and hopefully things will work out for her.....
In happy news my friend Trish from Hannah, Taylor and Hailey is coming home tomorrow with Taylor, a beautiful little girl who is doing exceptionally well. We cannot wait to meet her, and especially can't wait to see how she handles having 2 sisters from Vietnam and 6 other siblings as well...she is coming home in to a huge family that loves her very much.
Kaylie is Kaylie, full of energy, I am beginning to wonder if she's not part mexican, because she has some kind of jumping bean gene in her and she does not stop...she will be standing next to you talking to you while bouncing up and down, she can make you absolutely crazy.
John is John, working hard and never stops.
Me: well I am still using my pilates machine and have managed to get a good rhythm going and will soon use another one of the elastic straps to create a little more tension.
So as I said, not much going on...just the day to day life of us....
Next week I will have some great pictures to post of a special event.
