The Coconut Festival

Daddy and Amelia waiting to go on the big slide.
Why is it when one is looking at you, the other never is?? Or has a dorky smile????
You can see on Amelia's face that at this point she had had quite enough of this up and down stuff.

Okay we're ready....

They had to push themselves over this hump. You can see Kaylie in the background...Daddy was a little faster.

WEE!!!!!

Okay mommy, this is neat, now what???????

Any day now.................

Saturday night we went to the annual Coconut Festival down the road from our house. We had a good time, we met up w/ another family that adopted from China this past summer and her friends. After we ate dinner (you would think it was a 4 star dinner for the price we paid, but it was a festival and expected) we hit the rides. Amelia had no idea what to expect, I was afraid to put her on any rides, because she's really not the one to listen to me if I had to yell "sit down", but she did great. When the elephants went in the air, she had the biggest smile ever on her face. Kaylie of course was happy to show her the ropes and take her on all the rides.

After the rides we stayed to watch the fantastic firework display they have every year, we can actually see them from our house, but we like to go the festivities too. Then we met up w/ another group of our friends and hung out while Survivor played, at about 9:35 pm the tantrum started, Amelia had had enough and we hit the road. It was a good weekend.

Update on Amelia: She has figured out to just take her onsie off from the top now...so far, she has not been taking off her diaper too??? (Knock on wood, or whatever it takes) She is funny, she seems to think that undressing herself is a way to punish me, if I put her in timeout she usually comes out unclothed, but I have been ignoring this to see if it stops soon....will let you know.

Denise, I love the cold weather. I'm not so sure about the 40's, but I long for the days when it hits 50 down here, and most people will shoot me for saying that, but I am a Northern girl at heart.
